Read our aims and scope

The goal of "New Talent" is to encourage students and researchers who are no more than 10 years post-graduation from their last degree to submit their articles, and to provide "real world" training exercises for scientific writing & publishing for graduate students and early postdoctoral fellows. We have a professional and diverse editorial team that can provide you with valuable guidance.

At the same time, senior scientists and professors are welcome to identify students and early-stage postdoctoral fellows to participate in the New Talent initiative as a part of your mentoring process, or to volunteer as Guest Editors.

The articles will go through the standard peer-review process, need to be methodologically, analytically and statistically robust, must provide convincing conclusions fully supported by the scientific evidence reported, and present an original contribution to existing knowledge. We will not make publication decisions based on perceived importance, significance or impact.

Articles included in this Topical Collection can be published free of charge.
