Vitor Monteiro, PhD, University of Minho, Portugal. Vitor Monteiro received the Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics and Energy Systems in 2016, and the M.Sc. in Industrial Electronics and Computer Engineering in 2010, both from the University of Minho, Portugal. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Electronics, School of Engineering, University of Minho, Portugal. His research activity has been developed at the Group of Energy and Power Electronics (GEPE) of the Centro ALGORITMI, University of Minho, in the fields of industrial and power electronics, electric mobility, renewables, and power quality.

João L. Afonso, PhD, University of Minho, Portugal. João L. Afonso is Full Professor of the Department of Industrial Electronics, of the Engineering School, at the University of Minho, in Portugal. He has been with the Department of Industrial Electronics of the University of Minho since 1993. He is coordinator and researcher with the Group of Energy and Power Electronics (GEPE. His research interests include Power Electronics technologies applied to Power Quality, Active Power Filters, Renewable Energy, Electric Vehicles, Energy Efficiency, Energy Storage Systems, Innovative Railway Systems, Smart Grids, Smart Cities and Aerospace.
