Internet of Intelligent Mobile Things

The Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a transformative technology that has revolutionized many aspects of modern life. With the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and mobility, the IoT has become even more powerful, enabling the creation of intelligent mobile things that can adapt to the changing needs of users in real-time and reduce the number of needed stationary nodes to cover an area and the cost of deployment. The Internet of Intelligent Mobile Things (IoIMT) is an exciting new area of research that focuses on developing and implementing mobile and AI-powered IoT nodes, and their engineering applications and challenges in various domains such as education, industry, healthcare, governance, hospitality, and transportation. This Topical Collection aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from different fields to showcase the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities in the IoIMT. It features cutting-edge research on topics such as intelligent mobile sensors, edge computing, machine learning, data analytics, and security and privacy in the context of IoIMT. The articles in this Topical Collection offer a comprehensive view of the state-of-the-art in the IoIMT and highlight the potential of this technology to transform various domains and enhance the quality of life for people around the world.
