Die literarischen Methoden und ihre Hintergründe bei zwei renommierten türkischen Germanistinnen

Zusammenfassung

If Turkish Germanists haven’t received their Ph.D. in German-speaking countries, they usually tend to follow one of the two literary traditions. These traditions are what Şara Sayın employ and apply in İstanbul and Gürsel Aytaç do in Ankara. The literary traditions and worldviews represented by these two prototypes have been shaped by their families, the process of socialization at their schools, the socio-political circumstances of the cities where they have lived, and the lecturers of the universities where they have studied. In this respect, this paper aims to trace the literary theories and methods adopted by these Germanists in the light of their personal lives.
