Zusammenfassung
Die Auswirkungen der globalen Gesundheitskrise (Covid-19-Pandemie) auf den Reiseverkehr sind weltweit beträchtlich und in einem vom Tourismus stark geprägten Land wie Österreich besonders deutlich spürbar. Neben diesen wirtschaftlichen Einbußen zeichnet sich aber auch ein soziokultureller Wandel im touristischen Erfahrungsraum ab. Zum einen verändert sich durch das Ausbleiben zahlreicher außereuropäischer Gäste die interkulturelle Begegnung vor Ort, zum anderen wird soziale Interaktion maßgeblich durch die jeweils geltenden Corona-Maßnahmen gerahmt.
