Abstract
One evening on a recent visit to Kuala Lumpur I was in that city’s Mid-Valley Mega-Mall. I was about to see a film with a friend. Before it was due to start I visited the public conveniences in the mall. As I stood there at the urinals I became aware of a presence behind me and not too far away. I looked and saw a Malay girl, dressed in a tudung (Islamic headscarf). She held a mop. She was waiting for me to finish so that she could continue mopping the floor.
