Abstract

Whether the long-range plan is to keep the business and bring children into it, or sell it to a large corporation, growing the business is at the forefront of every entrepreneur’s mind. Making the decision to move to bigger and better things brings both huge rewards and tremendous risks. How to grow the business raises a slew of questions: Do you grow the business organically through increased sales or do you acquire or merge with another company? When is the right time? Have you exhausted capacity at your present state? Are you ready to handle the growth? Do you have the money and resources to grow? Like most things, deciding to grow the business is not a one-size-fits-all proposition. Determining the right strategy for your business is a process and requires a plan.
