Abstract
Timing and fluency play a crucial role in orchestrating the various processes involved in reading comprehension (Breznitz, 2006). This has been recognized at the behavioral level by psychologists and at the neuronal level by neuroscientists. However, despite the importance of fluency development, this issue has not received as much attention in foreign language settings, and more research is needed (Grabe, 2004, 2009). The intervention methodology presented in this chapter will address the issue of fluency development, which according to research, seems to include attention to speed (Wolf & Katzir-Cohen, 2001).
