Abstract

This book has examined in detail the origins and evolution of US “dual containment” policy between 1991 and 2001 and the factors condi- tioning its conception and adoption by policymakers. Consequently, it is now time to consider what conclusions can be drawn from this under- taking and reflect on what has been accomplished in the previous pages, as well as assess the overall impact and contribution of the different intervening variables.
