Abstract
Harris surveys the changing relationship between news and opinion in his chapter. He recounts the huge structural shifts that are occurring in the political news cycle. These include the meteoric rise of opinion, the growing dependency on data, and the blurring of roles between ‘news breakers’ and ‘news makers’.
