Abstract

In previous chapters, it was argued that different understandings of human enhancement bring forward not only different ways of using emergent technologies, but also that different human enhancement paradigms change the scope and sometimes even the nature of the ethical challenges that each one instantiates. Taking this into consideration, this chapter suggests a plausible approach to the question motivating this book, namely:

What are the ethical considerations for choosing one kind of enhancement over another, when using emergent technologies?
