Abstract
David Beckham, Roger Federer, LeBron James and Manny Pacquiao may not be names that spring to mind in a discussion about Chinese tourism. But the rules are different in Macao (also spelt as Macau). All bets are considered — and some seem less likely to fail than others. And certain celebrity names carry an irresistible cachet to those gambling on Macao’s future.
