Abstract
By way of conclusion, I want first to reiterate a point I make in the Introduction. This book’s intent is not to argue that the dominant tradition is wrong. My aim has simply been to delineate the dominant tradition and cast light upon its discontents in Christian history, thereby highlighting alternative strands of tradition. It is, however, my opinion that, at the very least, the dismantling of the dominant tradition’s anthropocentrism is a better form of Christianity and is more applicable to the context in which we find ourselves. Even so, I offer no accusations that the dominant tradition is objectively deficient.
