  • Chapter
Boys, Young Men and Violence

Abstract

A significant development for the Centre in 2006, in the form of a 141,000 grant from the Department of Education (Northern Ireland) and the Department of Justice (Northern Ireland), enabled us to undertake a longitudinal study to examine concerns about boys’ academic attainment in school and wider concerns about the health and well-being of boys and increases in local suicide rates amongst young men.
