Abstract
The world before the Internet seems a remote, dim place, so profoundly has the technology upended everything about our lives. It has increased productivity, sparked innovation, and made the world more intimate. There’s an expectation that, in the next five minutes, some other remarkable development will spring from the shimmering pool of digital alchemy.
Our loyalties must transcend our race, our tribe, our class, and our nation; and this means we must develop a world perspective.
