Abstract
Thus far, I have examined the occupational experiences of respondents and attendant mobility issues through the prism of two major institutions, namely labor market and education. For a more balanced consideration of the issues at hand, it is necessary to enrich my presentation with alternative pathways of social mobility and forces, arrangements, and mechanisms beyond the ones already discussed. In chapter 9, therefore, I will present some of the most important of these factors, namely emigration, marriage, and the role of patronage and clientelistic relations.
