Abstract
The phenomena of imitation observed in nervous maladies are very curious. We find traces of this ability to imitate in countless ordinary daily actions. Several disciples of the most famous ancient philosophers unconsciously assumed the tics, allure, and expressions of their masters simply by living with them. Socrates’ disciples were criticized for imitating even his faults.
