Abstract
Test by Fire highlights George W. Bush’s initial triumphs as a War President in achieving “regime change” in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as his subsequent mistakes, disappointments, and failures in the global war on terror. The examination of George W. Bush’s development into a War President revealed how his beliefs and decision-making style dramatically changed after 9/11, leading to the expansive war on terror, preemptive invasion of Iraq, and visionary goal of ending tyranny throughout the world.
