Abstract
Motivated by the neoliberal impetus of the 1980s, the Mexican government initiated several reforms in its economic and social sectors, which in 1992 reached the education sector. Mexican education had become a bastion of pride and nationalism because of phenomenal reform and improvements during the mid-twentieth century.
