Abstract
China is advancing and changing rapidly in many areas, one of which is the development of the higher education system. There is ongoing debate on how universities could advantageously conduct their research in conjunction with their teaching activities, and especially on laying the foundations of high-tech companies and science parks related to universities. The lessons learned from experience—and the successes thereof—are reflected in Chinâs endeavors to seek suitable methods of further development.
