Abstract
‘Millennium madness’ is a more or less exaggerated expression of instinctual responses of the normal human personality. Whether exhibited by apocalyptic religious groups or information technology consultants plumping for lucrative contracts to rescue the world from the ‘millennium bug,’ these forms of behavior reflect the instinctual struggle to survive against overwhelming odds.
