Abstract

In the governmental and administrative realm, Switzerland has developed a number of rather advanced Internet applications: for example by implementing electronic systems of transit traffic control or tariff payments, and by offering online options for filling out census questionnaires and tax declarations or for following parliamentary debates in real time on the Net.1
