Abstract
Valuation is the process of determining the worth of an asset, liability or an entire firm, or an economic relationship derived from an underlying asset or liability. Valuation has an influence on investments, capital structures and dividend policies, and therefore on financial decisions. Valuation concepts are also used in the evaluation of business models and strategies, and in capital budgeting, financial reporting, merger and acquisitions, tax analysis and litigation.
