Abstract

The previous chapter focused on two central elements in the process of restoring order after the 1929 riots: the trial of criminal cases arising from the disturbances and the strengthening of the police. This chapter broadens the discussion of this process, concentrating on the reinforcement of the legal framework and the development of security plans.
