Abstract
Chapter 7 spelled out the Earthist paradigm in contrast to the economistic one and stated that the Bank’s paradigm is somewhere between the two. It argued, however, that it is closer to the economistic one despite its concern for the Earth including the people who dwell in it, especially the poor. It stated that from the Earthist point of view, it can be seen as the economistic paradigm with Earthist epicycles.
