Abstract
Few international developments have received as much attention since the early 1990s as ‘globalization’. Nevertheless, there is still a good deal of disagreement even about the nature and extent of the changes that international economic interdependence is imposing on individual countries, whatever their size and level of development.
First published under a slightly different heading in M. Panić, Globalization and National Economic Welfare (London and New York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2003).
