Abstract
Of all the qualities people most want in their boss — inspiration, intelligence, kindness — the one they always rate top is integrity. The same is true for managers who want, above all else, honest staff. They want their staff to be straight forward, trustworthy and sincere. From childhood, most of us are taught that truthfulness is imperative: lying, whether simple distortion or worse, is sinful, antisocial, hurtful and wrong.
