Abstract

At the kind invitation of the Government of the Republic of Niger, we (Jean Ziegler and Sally-Anne Way) conducted a first country mission to Niger from 27 August to 3 September 2001. We (Jean Ziegler and Christophe Golay) then undertook an emergency mission to Niger from 8 to 12 July 2005, to raise awareness about the dramatic food situation prevailing in the country (see below).
