Abstract
In this final chapter we draw lessons from the seven cases that our contributors have presented, and whose main elements are summarized in Table 9.1. We discuss what they suggest about the nature and explanation of development policy success in terms of the framework which we developed in Chapter 1 and with reference to broader debates in the literature. As noted in Chapter 1, our research strategy and choice of cases mean that our conclusions will be tentative ones. We will open up avenues for further research at the same time that we close down our present enquiry.
