Abstract
The Muslim Brotherhood is by far the most successful Islamist group in the world: a point often overlooked by those studying such matters. There are good reasons for people not to take note of this point. The Brotherhoods in each country are independent of each other; they usually do not use terrorism; they often follow different policies adapted to their surroundings; and they often try to avoid publicity.
