Abstract
Sorne of the most controversial questions the Big Three had deferred until the end of the war related to the future of Germany. This is hardly surprising — the questions were extremely complex and potentially highly divisive for the Allies. Perhaps it should not be surprising that after the war, the future of Germany became one of the bitterest disputes that led to the Cold War.
