Abstract
Mental and emotional processes are the primary focus of psychology. The foundation for explorations is based on the invocation of myth as expressed in universal themes found in the psychological states: survival, connection, power, love, communication, awareness and destiny. Invocation is approached through orientation explorations set in psychic landscapes that generate archetypal behavior through situations of conflict and contrast:combative, nomadic, transactional, sheltering, communal, collective and liminal. Collective explorations are based on the embodiment of archetypes in which actors further imaginative play through experimentation with an expanded sense of self while interacting with others. Journaling focuses on creating an inner monologue in which the character identifies with a specific archetype. Actor-generated explorations expand on previous explorations through partnered and small ensemble collaborations.
