Living Together with National Border Lines and Nationalisms

In service of this argument, this paper firstly establishes the concept of nationalism, then describes details of the situation in Okinawa. Through an analysis of the social condition within the theoretical framework of nationalism, a blind spot within the discussion of nationalism is clarified at the theoretical level. The conclusion of this chapter is that the most important educational responsibility in Okinawa is to speak to people’s conscience.
