Abstract

These last pages conclude on a note of hope in the continued struggle of the Egyptian people towards fulfilling the just demands of the 2011 January Revolution, despite the seemingly totalitarian control of the counter-revolutionary practices of the Sisi regime and its unrelenting efforts in undoing the revolution’s achievements. The author summarises the main outcomes and arguments of the book, whilst highlighting the shifting representations of the military figure in relation to the nation and the people.
