Conclusion

Abstract

The theory developed herein, interwoven with the portraits of dance leaders and descriptions of their work is intended to further define the domain of dance leadership, with the hope that scholars and practitioners of dance, leadership, and dance leadership will find information that instigates further investigation of those subjects. It is further hoped that this volume itself constitutes an act of dance leadership: recognition of an issue of dance, stepping forward to address it in a way that contributes to the development of dance, moving it forward in the direction of evolution, while adhering to an ethical directive to consider the health of the whole, with no sacrifice of one part for any other.
