Abstract
This is the concluding lecture of the series. Here Locke seeks to provide a comprehensive account of the indispensable role that African descendant peoples have played throughout the Americas. It is also, in this lecture that Locke’s Inter-American philosophical orientation is most on display. Locke draws on the many insights, principles, concepts and arguments he advanced earlier in the series; specifically with regard to African Americans in the United States to offer a fuller vision of the historical and present social role of Afrodescendant peoples throughout the three Americas.
