Abstract
For a number of years, Santa Fe College has worked on internationalizing its curriculum as a way to reach all students. In fall 2013, the institution went a step further by launching an International Studies Certificate, a distinction program that combines an internationalized curriculum with experiential learning, career development, and student-centered projects. Although it is too early to evaluate the full impact of this initiative, two years have sufficed to reveal the program’s extraordinary potential to bring cohesion, shared ownership, and intentionality to our comprehensive internationalization efforts. This case study examines the history, current practices, and impact of this program at Santa Fe College.
