Abstract
The Social Democratic Union leader Zarko Korac was clinging to the right flank of the Parliament building as he dragged himself toward Kosovska Street. He’d already taken a lot of tear gas, and he’d seen people falling down the steps from the main entrance. “They’ll shoot!” he thought. “They’re going to shoot!” He clung even more tightly to the wall but moved away when the windows above his head began to break.
