Working with Domestic Violence Clients
Chapter
Abstract
The previous chapters have introduced a number of ideas about what the participants felt was helpful in the counselling they received after experiencing domestic violence. The purpose of this chapter is to explore what the findings might mean in the context of counsellor work. It is important to highlight that this chapter does not represent the views of the participants, although it is informed by those views. It does include many of my personal views, gained largely from my research and practice experiences, together with my interpretation of what they might mean in the context of counsellor training.
