Abstract
As a sociological category, mobile European citizens have been relatively little studied within the broad universe of migrants. Yet they possess several features of interest to those who wish to identify non- traditional patterns of migration (King 2002) and to focus on concrete processes of transnational social integration (Favell and Guiraudon 2011). Intra-European migrants occupy the increasingly blurred — owing to the multiplication of mobility practices, the reconfiguration of national borders and the proliferation of international agreements — boundary area between international and internal migration in which it is possible to grasp novelties in migration (King and Skeldon 2010).
