Geopolitics of Caspian Oil: the Role of the Integration of the Caspian Region into World Economy in Maintaining Stability in the Caucasus
In the last eight years, the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus region, as well as the entire geographic area commencing at the Black Sea coast and extending to the inner depths of Central Asia, have become the focus of international attention. The region is thought to contain some of the largest unexploited oil and gas reserves in the world, situated strategically in the heart of Eurasia.
