Abstract
Press releases, media releases, and press notices (they are just different words for the same thing) remain one of the cornerstones of media relations work. They are a well-established and recognized way by which organizations put across news and views to the media, and as such are usually expected by journalists when an important announcement is made. They have several advantages.
