Conclusion

Abstract

In Cinema and Community I have sought to explore the idea and practice of community, as represented in the cinema, in the context of the impact of contemporary social and political forces at the turn of the twentieth century. Throughout, I have been conscious of a number of recurring issues that I might single out for comment in a conclusion, not necessarily for resolution but as a marker for further studies in the field. The first of these is of a general nature.
