Abstract
What matters is not simply how much we know, but how we react to what we do not know. This is essential if trust is to be developed, but what else is needed for it to take hold and thrive? How should we behave if we want to create trust? This chapter answers these questions and provides valuable insights from our Trust Survey.

- 1.James P. Rubin, Stumbling Into War, Foreign Affairs, September–October 2003. This comment contrasts the friendship and trust that has historically existed between the USA and France since 1945 with the bitter animosity that arose during 2003, following French opposition to the UN Security Council giving cover to an American-led invasion of Iraq.Google Scholar
