Abstract
The journey to advance corporate responsibility isn’ t smooth or uninterrupted. There are many obstacles to progress, and situations where individuals or organizations seek to stifle innovation arise all too frequently. This can be a frustrating experience, especially when it seems that a well thought out project or proposal to advance corporate responsibility is in danger of being defeated by ignorance, intransigence or just plain stubbornness. But these moments of frustration can turn into some of the most significant learning points in the transition to a more responsible approach to business, revealing as they do a great deal about what needs to be overcome if the vision of responsible business is to be achieved.
