Abstract
I was born 80 years ago on Bolshaia Molchanovka where we rented a vast apartment with three large rooms and two smaller ones. After finishing University, my father first settled in the country, on a large estate about 250 miles from Moscow, a little further out than Count Tolstoy’s property. He then returned to live in the capital.
