Abstract

The topic of the interrelationship between al-wasatiyyah, al-maqasid as-shari’ah, and tawhid continues on in this chapter from Chap.  5. The emphasis in this chapter is to examine the interrelationship between the three states of Qur’anic thought in a slightly empirical context and then to draw inference from the unraveled examination of empirical facts concerning financial spending by various instruments. A critical examination leads to an alternative treatment of the financial instruments to attain social wellbeing in the context of integrating al-wasatiyyah, al-maqasid as-shari’ah within the tawhidi methodological worldview.
