Abstract

The Federation of Southern Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland was brought into being on 1 Aug. 1953, when the Queen signed the Order in Council proclaiming the Federal State. (See map in The Statesman’s Year-Book, 1955.) The Federation was dissolved with effect from 31 Dee. 1963. The following statements and statistics contain the latest and last information on the Federation.
