Abstract

Frederik IX, born ll March, 1899; married 24 May, 1935, to Princess Ingrid of Sweden; offspring: Princess Margrethe, born 16 April, 1940 (heir presumptive); Princess Benedikte, born 29 April, 1944; Princess Anne-Marie, born 30 Aug., 1946. He succeeded to the throne on the death of his father, King Christian X, 20 April, 1947.
