Alphonso XIII., son of the late King Alphonso XII. and Maria Christina, daughter of the late Karl Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria; born after his father’s death, May 17, 1886, succeeding by his birth, being a male, his eldest sister; married, May 31, 1906, to Princess Victoria Eugénie, daughter of the late Prince Henry of Battenburg and Princess Beatrice (daughter of the late Queen Victoria) of Great Britain and Ireland; offspring, Prince Alphonso, born May 10, 1907; Prince Jaime, born June 23, 1908.
